Snappy H’appy Photo Challenge-Week 2
Week 2 of the Snappy H’appy Photo Challenge sponsored by JX and Meghan is all about Saturation and HDR. For the particulars on the photo challenge visit here–
Here is Hubble with his choice of backyard balls-he was very anxious to get through this so he could go play-
I will admit I am still trying to understand the logistics of HDR-one thing I have learned in using the apps available for the iPhone is it is very easy to overdo the effects very quickly, which sometimes can be a good thing, but probably most times, it might be better to rein it in a bit-I used two different HDR apps; one was Snapseed HDR, while the other was JixiPix’s Simply HDR/Art Effects selection. I will admit, I prefer the JixiPix one more, because I often want more of an “artful” feel to my images than realistic ones. And that is just me and how I approach my work. The same probably goes for saturation-a little bit can go a long way, but overly saturated elements in an image can also be very effective as well.
So here are the “before” and “after” of Master Hubble choosing his backyard ball-(he ended up playing with the green one-)
Today’s Dog Quote:
“Dogs, for a reason that can only be described as divine, have the ability to forgive, let go of the past, and live each day joyously. It’s something the rest of us strive for.”
