Snappy H’appy Photo Challenge-Week 7

Week 7 of the Snappy H’appy Photo Challenge hosted by JX of weliveinaflat and Meghan at firebonnet-to learn more about the challenge (there are 5 weeks left!) check out the particulars here.

This week’s challenge was Sketch and I found an app that I really like, thanks to JX’s recommendations. Camera 360 is a free app and thankfully is pretty free of ads. There are a lot of free filters you can choose from too which is always a bonus.

This week’s image courtesy of Hubble and a giant apple I found a few weeks back. Shown here is the original image cleaned up a bit by Snapseed and then two examples of Sketch effects from Camera 360-the lighter colored one used a filter called “Bright” and the more dramatic colored sketch filter is “Color.”

Today’s Dog Quote:

  1. Camera360 is a pretty good all around photo app, especially since it is a freebie. It does render photos strongly with some of its filters so I think that suits you more than me 😛 Glad you are enjoying it. I am definitely a fan of the Colour filter for the Sketch effect. Hubble’s eyes came out clearer with that than with the Bright filter. That said, this is the first time I’m seeing Hubble not sitting and it suddenly occurred to me that he is quite a small dog. I had never thought he was that small, lol. Perspective is a strange thing 😉

    • I can definitely see using Camera 360 more in the future as some of the filters, I really liked a lot-and for a free app, it does a nice job. Hubble is small, but the apple is oversized (it is also not real)-so yes, the perspective is a bit *off*
Thanks so much for hosting such a great challenge!

  2. Apple with Dog, The effects are amazing, Meg, and I bet Hubble didn’t feel a thing.. 😀 … I clicked for closer looks on all three, Colour was a surprise, in that Hubbles ‘lay’ of fur was more prominent… xPenx, …

  3. Nice!!!!!! It seems to me as if Bright could a ‘sketch’ of the more complete ‘drawing’ of the Color one. Is Hubble that small… or is the apple really big (even being big, Hubble must be small 😉 ) These turned out great!

    • Thanks so much Meghan-the apple is oversized and a fake one to boot, so the perspective is either of a very, very large apple or a very, very small Hubble-Thanks so much for looking and hosting-this has been a lot of fun!
