Parts

Lately I have been photographing parts of dogs-this is an interesting exercise in composition for me as well as paying a little closer attention to how my dogs are put together. It is like you look, but you do not always see, if that makes any sense. And today, we have Hubble modeling his nose-which I am convinced hold super powers when it comes to smelling stuff-

Today’s Dog Quote:

“All his life he tried to be a good person. Many times, however, he failed. For after all, he was only human. He wasn’t a dog.”
― Charles M. Schulz

    • What is very interesting to me is how each dog in the house takes in the world-Hubble by far relies on his nose more than anything else, while Jack Henry and Anna, though they use their noses are much more reliant on their eyes to take things in. Thanks so much for looking and hope all is well with your *pack*!

  1. Did you see the popular internet photo of dog noses viewed up close from the front? The message was that dog noses from that perspective look a lot like angry aliens. Try and see – they really do.

  2. Love this and know all about it. We have a Plott Hound, always distracted by his nose. I’ve read that they can track a scent across three counties. When we go camping, we have to tie him so he won’t lead Zso Zso astray. Without his baaad dog influence, she stays close.:-)

  3. It’s true that when you look at separate parts of a dog you notice things you might miss when viewing the whole animal. I’ve often thought Pearl’s and Millie’s paws look like little faces, but when I tried photographing them, they just looked like paws. I love your dog part pics, you capture them so well.

    • Annabelle thank you so much for the lovely comment-it can be a challenge sometimes to focus in on the parts, I know. I am never sure how the images are going to look. Paws up to Misses Millie and Pearl! 🙂
