The Helper

As I was trying to get things situated for a still-life shot for Move the Chair, the other WP blog, my littlest helper decided to get in on the action. Actually he was intrigued by the smell of an old dog collar that belonged to a companion of long ago and far away. I used the Polamatic app for this image. I have been looking at books of polaroids and was reminded of how much I love those cameras, their film and the images they produced.

Today’s Dog Quote:

β€œAny man with money to make the purchase may become a dog’s owner. But no man –spend he ever so much coin and food and tact in the effort– may become a dog’s Master without consent of the dog. Do you get the difference? And he whom a dog once unreservedly accepts as Master is forever that dog’s God.”
― Albert Payson Terhune, Lad: A Dog

  2. What a beautiful quote and photo, Meg! Lovely! To become a dog’s master does mean that the dog has consented to follow your direction/guidance/leadership. It must be earned! But it lasts forever. That’s one of the things I absolutely love about dogs. πŸ™‚
