Presenting the Elusive Miss Anna
It is not every often that I get a chance to get a decent photograph of Anna-she is frightened of the camera and the phone. Whenever I get close to her with either one, those beautiful ears go flat and she just tries to look small.
I lucked out today-it may be partly that Hubble was distracting her, but whatever the reason I was able to get a halfway decent photograph of her. She is a beautiful dog, but still very timid and unsure. We have made strides, but more work lies ahead for us. As for the photograph, a bit rough in some places. I tried working with the charcoal brush in Repix. I may go and work on that some more.

For today: The Elusive Miss Anna
It’s a lovely photograph. And oh what a beauty she is. Almost regal.

Thank you Alison so much-You know, she does look regal which is amazing given her background and hardship. But I think that is part of the breed too-they have a presence and it is not just about size. It is who they are. Thanks so much for taking a look!

Oh she is lovely, miss Anna, what breed? Similar looking to my dog, black, sticky up ears, he he, she looks quite big? Alsatian? Cross?

Thank you Rebecca-she is an American German Shepherd (their back legs are a bit straighter than the German shepherds) And she is all Shepherd. Those ears are amazing when she has them up. She has made progress though-there was a time, when they were down almost all the time-Thanks so much for visiting!

Yes, Anna is a bit of a worrier and does not like cameras, like her camera-hog brothers. I had to shoot from further away than usual and even then, you can see that she is not all that impressed 😉 Thank you David very much for taking a look!

Miss Anna is absolutely gorgeous, even with that anxious expression. Miss Pearl would surely sympathize, she has phobias too – though she loves the camera!

Thank you Annabelle-Anna’s phobias and fears are too long to list-she has OCD and if you interrupt her routine of doing anything from circling her bed to her eating and anything else, she has to start all over again.I have learned a lot about patience from all three of these, but Anna has been a challenge. She is an angel though, no doubt about it.Thanks and hugs and pets to Misses Millie and Pearl!

Sweet Anna is such a beauty but does look quite concerned about what is happening around her!

Yes-she was definitely not very happy about this, but I will say I am glad I did it-it is one of the few decent pictures I have of her-Thank you Sara!

Thank you Daal-your pups are lookers to be sure-I love black dogs and I have known a few black labs. One of the best dogs I have ever had the pleasure to know (and own) was a black lab named Joe.That is a great idea about the photo processes and I will take you up on that-watch for a post about processing in the next few weeks! Appreciate your visit!

Miss Anna is beautiful! This photo reminds me of Matthew Brady’s work during the civil war. She looks like a dog that you might see in a book about the 1800’s. As always, love your work Meg!

Yes-she is an elegant creature in her own way-especially given her rough circumstances, she does have a quiet dignity about her. Thank you Susan!

Thank you Hedy-as apprehensive as she is about so much, one place she does relax is in the car. She is wonderful traveling companion, quite content to look out the window or just *be*-the other two however are more of a rock and roll experience when traveling ;o !
