The Fledgling

I am not sure where this image came from exactly. I know that I have been grappling lately with exploring new directions and techniques that incorporate my dog photographs. In the process, I am trying to practice what a friend calls a “know-nothing” mind which allows for experimenting without trying to predict an outcome. It is not easy.

This image came about after reading about the Aralez and the Simargl–winged dog spirits, that depending on the culture, carries out different duties. In my mind, I thought about what would it be like for one of these creatures first trying out their wings, and in the process receiving help from those who know a thing or two about flying. And Hubble as always, was a trooper. This is a work in progress, but I think there is a theme to explore here.

Today’s Dog Quote:

I love a dog. He does nothing for political reasons.
